Fire Cam 1080

Q: I try to turn the camera on and the light goes out and nothing happens.
A: Make sure you HOLD the button down for 3 seconds, then the camera will turn on.
Q: Why is there 2 end caps?
A: The end cap with the hole is a water resistant cap and can be used for firefighting. This lets the audio thru. The end cap that has no hole is the waterproof cap and can be used underwater to 33 ft. There is very little audio.
Q: What is the “handshake” and the “F” switch for on the back of the camera?
A: The “handshake” mode is for vehicle vibration and also makes the image more narrow. The “F” mode is for a firmware update and should be left in this position for the widest angle at 180 degrees FOV when mounted on the fire helmet.
Q: When I move or delete the videos on the Fire Cam 1080, it shows that the card is full unless I format the card and zero it out. Is this normal?
A: Yes, you need to format the memory card.
MAC users: When deleting files from your SD card you must empty the trash before removing the SD card or unplugging the Fire Cam 1080. If you do not empty your trash the photo and or video files will not be completely erased from your SD card.
Q: I just tested my Fire Cam 1080 with a 8GB Class 2 card and it is choppy…why?
A: The speed of memory card (Class 2) is not fast enough, we recommend Class 6 or 10 Micro SD.
Q: I have a brand new 32GB Class 10 card and the camera is not recognizing it and shutting down. What can I do?
A: Please format the card 1st and it will work.
Q: The Fire Cam 1080 flashes and shuts down when I turn it on. What is wrong?
A: Please charge the batteries and make sure the Micro SD card is inserted properly.
Q: How long is the battery life for the Fire Cam 1080?
A: 115 minutes (video non-stop recording) for each battery.
Q: Windows 7 gives me an error message with USB “unknown device”. Is there any drive to install?
A: Please insert memory card then turn on the camera (standby mode) and then connect to your PC, this should work.
